I’m an government. One in all my direct studies (a supervisor) is annoyed that his crew doesn’t acknowledge his enter/expertise/experience. It’s as if he needs his crew to present him constructive suggestions and validation. My feeling is that it’s impossible to occur. Even nice managers don’t typically hear their crew say, “Thanks for the nice job you do managing me.”
I present constant constructive, particular suggestions on his work. However I don’t perceive his motivation, or easy methods to assist him see his expectations aren’t life like. He says issues issues like:
- “My crew are destructive. I need them to concentrate on the constructive work we’ve carried out.” (referring to after they recommend enhancements)
- “I work up an thought, delegate the implementation, then they take the credit score as if it was their very own thought.”
- “They by no means say something good to me about my administration, although I continuously give them constructive suggestions, alternatives, and so on.”
I reiterated that his crew, and the group, have an enormous quantity of respect for him and his ability set, and that as his supervisor, I see all these issues he feels his crew miss. His crew is excessive performing.
