my husband and I share a house workplace — how will we make this work?
It’s the Thursday “ask the readers” query. A reader writes:
Has anybody efficiently shared a house workplace (completely) with their partner/roommate/accomplice/and so on and if that’s the case, what are your suggestions for achievement?
My husband and I each do business from home 75% of the time and have a three-bedroom home (presently occupied by our bed room and our two places of work). We predict our first little one quickly, and our present plan for as soon as everybody goes again to work is for the smallest bed room (now my husband’s workplace) to turn into the newborn’s room and to maneuver his desk into my workplace, which is far bigger.
I’m nervous in regards to the feasibility of sharing an workplace, he doesn’t suppose it is going to be a giant deal. To be sincere, he solely works from his workplace now when he has calls (a giant a part of the day) and strikes round the home the remainder of the day, however I spend many of the day at my desk and have a good quantity of calls myself. It’s true I used to work in an open workplace and had no issues with it (obtained my trusty noise cancelling headphones), however for some cause this feels completely different. Clearly we might prepare the desks so we’re not seen in one another’s cameras. I’m simply questioning if there’s something large we’re overlooking.
If it doesn’t work out, we’ll simply strive one thing else, no massive deal, however this could be probably the most handy so if anybody has suggestions for achievement I’d love to listen to them.
